H1N1 VACCINE INFORMATION
At the present time there is a limited amount of H1N1 vaccine available at Wheatland Memorial Healthcare for distribution in Wheatland County. The initial target groups to receive the H1N1 vaccine include the following:
1.
Pregnant women
2.People who live with or care for children younger than
6 months of age
3.Persons 6 months through 24 years of age.
4.Persons 25 through 64 years of age who have
medical conditions associated with higher risk conditions.
If you or your child is a member of this initial target group, the H1N1 vaccine will be available in the basement of Bair Clinic on Tuesday, December 1st from 9AM until 5PM while supplies last.
Any child from 6 months through age nine who has received their first H1N1 vaccination will need to return for a second vaccination. The second vaccination should be given about one month after the first. We will be holding vaccination clinics on December 1st and December 8th in the basement of Bair Clinic 9 AM through 5PM. If your child received their first vaccination in October, plan on returning for the second vaccination on December 1st or December 8th. You may call 632-3157 if you have any questions.
As the vaccine supply is still limited, please check our website www.wheatlandmemorial.org to see if you meet the target group requirement before attending the clinic. We will be holding additional H1N1 clinics in the future, check our website for the dates and target groups.
